11:30–12:30 – A Journey through Songs and Piyyutim to the Multifaceted Figure of the Hanukkah Holiday
Hanukkah is a holiday with many facets—religious, national, folkloric, and more. We will set out on a journey following the piyyutim and songs written for Hanukkah in the various Jewish diasporas and in the State of Israel, and examine how each one reflects the character of the holiday.
