Over the years, treasures of Israeli art have been collected in the President’s Garden and inside the house: the art collections of Reuven Rubin, Hanna Orloff, Kadishman, Zaritsky, Bezem, Ardon, and others. The collection also includes fascinating contemporary Israeli works.
In the lecture, we will delve into the architecture of the house designed by Abba Elhanani and the wonderful garden surrounding it. We will ask what the collection reveals about the house’s residents over the years—and what it tells us about ourselves. In this session, we will “enter” the house and “stroll” through one of the city’s most beautiful gardens, discussing the presidency, architecture, and art—lots of art!
Meeting point: Yad Ben-Zvi – 14 Ibn Gabirol Street
