Ein Haniya – (Refaim Stream National Park) Mountain Springs – A Tour Translated into Sign Language
Guided tour at Ein Haniya, Nahal Refa’im National Park, on Saturday, November 14, at 11:00. The tour will be accompanied by sign-language interpretation.
Ein Haniya is a charming site combining a spring and an ancient water-filled pool, an archaeological site, and a cultural landscape of traditional agriculture.
On a guided tour, we will learn about the spring and how it shaped the area’s landscapes. We will walk alongside the restored aqueduct that feeds an ancient irrigation pool (at the end of the tour, you may swim in it), see the impressive nymphaeum—a Roman water fountain—up close, and hear about the site’s importance to the Ethiopian and Armenian churches.
We will conclude the tour in the agricultural plots that preserve the landscape of ancient mountain agriculture.
