From the military bands and the Russian-Slavic style that characterized the country’s early years to the rise of Western rock and Mizrahi and Mediterranean music.
The evening is the product of a research group that operated at Yad Ben-Zvi and a new issue of Et-Mol.
We will follow the changes that took place in Israeli popular music against the backdrop of the social and political processes that Israeli society underwent from the 1960s through the 1980s.
