"ODYSSEY" in IMAX in Russian — Jerusalem, October 11–12 — Jerusalem

“Odyssey” is back in IMAX—and once again in Russian. Two screenings in Jerusalem: October 11 and 12.

This is the first feature-length film shot entirely with IMAX film cameras. Previously, Nolan used them only for individual scenes: the cameras are so noisy that dialogue cannot be recorded next to them. For “Odyssey,” IMAX developed new cameras that are lighter and quieter than the previous ones, and the entire film—including the conversations—was shot in this format. Filming took place in Greece, Morocco, Italy, Iceland, and Scotland.

After the Trojan War, King Odysseus of Ithaca returns home to his wife, Penelope. Along the way, he encounters cyclopes, sirens, and man-eating giants. Odysseus is played by Matt Damon; the cast also includes Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, and Charlize Theron.

There are only two screenings, so it is best to reserve seats in advance. The ticket price from KinoRai includes popcorn and a drink.
