On Simchat Torah, 22 Tishrei 5784 (7.10.2023), thousands of Hamas terrorists and Palestinian civilians from the Gaza Strip breached the border fence and carried out massacres and acts of destruction in the communities and kibbutzim surrounding Gaza, on the roads, and at the Re’im parking lot, where the “Nova” music festival was held.
Approximately 1,200 civilians and soldiers were murdered or killed in battle, and hundreds of homes were burned.
