Chord: Songwriting and Performance Course
A Composition and Performance Course for Teenagers will take place from November 3, 2026, at the Beit Avi Chai cultural center in Jerusalem. The course includes personal mentoring, master classes, and a final performance.
A songwriting and performance course led by leading musicians, culminating in a live performance. Intended for teenagers with a musical background who want to take their love of music to the next level and gain practical tools and personal guidance throughout the creative process. The course includes master classes with male and female artists, and work toward a festive final evening with personal and professional guidance. It also includes music-video filming for each participant.
Course instructors: Shay-Li Jamshid and David Lavi
- 11 sessions
- Suitable for participants with a musical background in an instrument, singing, or both
- Admission is subject to an audition
- Audition dates: Thursday, October 8, and Tuesday, October 13
- Tuition: 350 NIS for the course (scholarships will be provided if needed)
- The course will take place in a small group, with personal attention and close mentorship
- Registration is open to students in grades 9–12
