Jerusalem Theater presents a performance based on David Grossman's novel "Running Away with Anyone." The story follows sixteen-year-old Asaf, who searches for the owners of a found dog and uncovers the life of an isolated girl named Tamara. The work is the laureate of the Sapir Prize in Literature for 2001.
Can you fall in love with a girl you’ve never met? Sixteen-year-old Asaf is tasked with finding the owners of a dog found on the streets of Jerusalem. But this dog leads him from one stop to another, gradually revealing the life story of Tamir — a lonely, rebellious girl who embarked on a dangerous journey to save her brother, who became entangled in a dark and complicated affair.
Running Away With You (lit. "Who Would I Run With") is one of the most beloved novels among Israeli readers and won the Sapir Prize for Literature in 2001. It was adapted both as a TV series and as a feature film. David Grossman created with remarkable skill a poignant coming-of-age novel that unfolds a unique story of first love.
