A series of intellectual meetings with Rabbi Daniel Epstein will take place at Yedida Synagogue. The sessions will explore topics of moral chaos, inner space, and ideas of transcendence in the works of Levinas and Hilles. Events are held every Friday morning. Prior registration is required through the organizer's contact information.
What can we aspire to, beyond and outside of existence and what might fill it? The very question already hints at the possibility of another dimension—not that of a life closed in on itself, nor that of a life finding its complete satisfaction in moving toward its end. The very posing of the question already points to the possibility of another existence, an existence with meaning.
Every Friday we gather at Yedidya Synagogue for study meetings with Rabbi Daniel Epstein, who will speak about moral chaos and the possibilities of existing within it, and will read from the writings of Emmanuel Levinas, Etty Hillesum, and others.
