Mitzva was created specifically for the Hotzot Gallery and is dedicated to the interaction of art and public space in challenging circumstances. This is the first solo exhibition by artist Avigail Hamo, a graduate of the Bezalel Academy. The presentation of works will open its doors to guests on August 10, 2026. Attendance at the event is completely free.
The installation was created specifically for Hatzot Gallery, an urban gallery dedicated to sculpture and the encounter of art, material, and public space. It developed during the war, in a reality where even everyday actions like drawing close, leaning, waiting, or starting a conversation are no longer taken for granted.
The exhibition opening event will take place on 28.7.
This is the first solo exhibition of artist Abigail Hammu, a Bezalel graduate with distinction in collaboration with the Department of Art at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design Jerusalem.
