The Metula Poetry Festival in Jerusalem celebrates Hebrew as the language of poetry over three full days of poetry, prose, and music. The event hosts poets, writers, and intellectuals presenting their works, alongside tributes to renowned artists. Admission to all events is free on a first-come, first-served basis.
This year, the Metula Poetry Festival in Jerusalem celebrates Hebrew as the language of poetry—highlighting the power of song to open hearts—in the spirit of Amir Gilboa’s optimistic poem: “Suddenly a person wakes up in the morning and feels that he is a people and begins to walk.”
Over three full days filled with poetry, prose, and everything in between, we will host poets, writers, and intellectuals who will present the fruits of their creativity accompanied by music. We will also pay tribute to spiritual pillars no longer with us, honoring the rhyming artist Alexander Penn, the magician of the Hebrew language Nisan Aloni, and others. You are welcome!
Admission:
Free entry to all events (except the opening and closing events), on a first-come, first-served basis.
