Rock Cinema Live
A Tribute to: BLACK SABBATH & OZZY OSBOURNE
On stage: Black Wizards
Opening lecture: Yoram Mark-Reich

Ozzy Osbourne passed away in July 2025. He was the original lead singer of Black Sabbath, the band that invented the heavy metal genre. “The Prince of Darkness” (as he was nicknamed) sold over 100 million copies of his solo albums and albums as Black Sabbath’s lead singer.

Ozzy was born into a poor, large family in Birmingham, England. Dyslexic and living with attention-deficit and hyperactivity problems, he dropped out of school at the age of 15 and even spent time in prison. And yes, this is the man who changed the world of music forever!

Yoram Mark-Reich will speak in the opening lecture about the famous bat incident, the Jewish connection, the performance in Israel, the Black Sabbath guitarist who lost parts of his fingers, the Osbourne family, and the distinguished farewell show held for Ozzy by the global metal world, about two weeks before his death.

The band Black Wizards, performing this evening, was formed out of a great love for the rock ensembles of the seventies, especially Black Sabbath. The band’s five members will recreate the feel, sound, and playing of those years.

Band members: Yiftach Levi (drums), Denis Rizikov (vocals), Dor Gilad (guitars), Anton Dorofeyev (keyboards), Asaf Tirosh (bass guitar).
