Hadar’s Sukkah | September 28–30 | Benjamin Garden

All activities are free of charge.

Three days of culture in the sukkah: music, art, performances, workshops, and gatherings for all ages, in a community sukkah built and decorated together with neighborhood volunteers and the Hadar knitting community.

Monday, September 28

10:00–13:00 | Building and Decorating the Sukkah
Everyone is invited to build the sukkah with us and take part in a joint creative activity, including constructing the sukkah, spray-painting, and decorating it.
Audience: Everyone is welcome!

15:00–18:00 | Swap Market and Making Sukkah Decorations
A market for exchanging items, alongside a creative activity for children: making sukkah decorations, origami, and dream catchers!
Audience: The whole family

15:00–18:00 | Creative Activity for Teens
Making sukkah decorations with the Youth Center.

18:00–19:30 | Mushrooms vs Humans
A lecture on the surprising world of fungi, their connection to humans, and their diversity in Israel.

20:00–21:00 | Performance in the Sukkah: Kiki Malinky
Indie-rock artist Kiki Malinky (Yasmin Raviv) comes to the sukkah for a live performance featuring songs from her new album, Not the Same. Contemporary Israeli rock music influenced by the 1990s and 2000s, personal songwriting, and sensitive distortion anthems.

Tuesday, September 29

10:30–12:00 | JAM&SKETCH – Yoga, Music, and Drawing
Join us for a creative gathering of musical jamming, drawing on the grass, and yoga practice.

12:00–13:00 | Garden Conversations Without Air Conditioning
An intimate conversation circle of up to eight participants, allowing for getting acquainted, sharing, reflection, and shared dreaming.

An activity for preschool and elementary-school children, including creative workshops and ball games, bracelet-making, Mr. Flexible, and squishies.

16:15–17:00 | The Four Marvels: An Original Play Combining Puppet Theater!
The Sukkot holiday is looking for a symbol, and everyone is invited to the big competition! The willow really wants to win the competition… but is that enough? A joyful holiday play by Sivan Kushchi, Keshet Theater.
Audience: Ages 3–8

18:00–20:00 | We Are All Together in One Sukkah – A Shared Conversation and Good People
A gathering led by the Beit Midrash of the Spiritual Center, in which we will discuss the essence of Sukkot as reflected in the Bible and the Hebrew calendar, and the holiday’s commandments.

A gathering and shared picnic for teens in the spirit of the holiday.
