The plot of the film Atida centers on Baruch Auerbach (Maor Schweitzer), the loyal assistant of the matchmaker Malka, and his fiancée, Ruth (Niv Sultan). The two are planning their wedding, but Baruch encounters financial difficulties that threaten the lavish event he has planned. In his search for a solution, he receives an offer from Michael Gerstel (Michael Rapaport), a Haredi billionaire from New York, who offers him a substantial sum of money in exchange for help finding a match for his daughter. Baruch sets out on a journey to the United States, where he is forced to navigate the world of international matchmaking and the differences between New York’s luxurious lifestyle and his values and life in Israel.
