An Israeli dramatic film tells the story of a young Orthodox couple whose faith and relationship are tested after tragedy. The picture explores questions of communication, family values, and religious boundaries. A director's discussion is planned following the screening.
Israeli drama film. Ruth and Samuel, a young couple from the haredi world, thought they knew everything about love. She, a young and sensitive mother, constantly testing boundaries, but with elegance. He, a brilliant yeshiva student with a promising Torah future. But when tragedy sweeps the cards away, everything they knew about family, community, parenthood, and also God, are put to the test.
"Heavenly Accounts" is a moving, intimate, human drama, with surrealistic moments. A story about two people trying not to lose each other, yet speaking different languages that widen the emotional and religious gap between them, within a world where asking questions is forbidden—certainly not the difficult ones.
