Bini has waited fifty years for the moment when he could reunite with Ruta, his childhood sweetheart, and return with her to the neighborhood where they grew up in Dubrovnik, Croatia. When Ruta is widowed, Bini realizes the moment has arrived. He buys two one-way plane tickets, gathers his courage, and comes home intending to tell Naomi, his wife, that he is leaving her.
His pulse quickens, the front door swings wide open, and… Bini finds himself at his and his wife’s golden wedding anniversary celebration, which their family has organized as a surprise.
