The play is based on characters from the successful web series.
Makhbit, a teacher and counselor at a girls’ religious high school who recently divorced Hanal, the school’s custodian, discovers that he has started dating the school’s national-service volunteer. She gives him an ultimatum: leave the volunteer or leave the school.
Meanwhile, a colleague from the teachers’ lounge transforms her outlook when she creates a profile for her on a dating app. Now Makhbit’s new life is driving Hanal crazy. Could getting back together solve the romantic entanglement?
Chen Rotman and Oshrit Sarusi are screenwriters and creators of the cult series Zot VeZoti.
The play was presented as a staged reading במסגרת the “Opening the Stage” Festival 2024.
