A comedy about the loss of identity.
After his mother dies peacefully at an old age, Or Auslander, a literature teacher, discovers almost by chance that she was not Jewish. What initially seems to be a bureaucratic error soon becomes a fact that shakes the foundations of his family and his life. Is some closely guarded secret hidden in his mother’s past—or is this all simply a mistake?
Or embarks on a wild journey that begins with a rabbinical clerk and reaches its climax in a séance with his mother’s spirit, as he tries to piece together his true identity.
