Descriptiontranslated from Hebrew (original)

A day tour of the western Negev—the Gaza Envelope—following the events of October 7!

The tour includes personal experiences and focuses on the facts and events as they occurred on October 7 and in its aftermath, as well as on the lives of the area’s residents before then. We will visit sites of heroism and remembrance and look out over Gaza. We will hear about and become closely acquainted with the reality in the “Gaza Envelope,” before October 7 and now.

Visit to the city of Sderot—view of Gaza from Kobi Hill or Shilo Lookout. Visit to the Wishing Garden (the Caterpillar) and Chabad House. The battle for the Sderot police station. We will stop at the Mefalsim Bend, overlooking the “Black Arrow” site. We will enter “Katav VeShem,” a memorial site near Kibbutz Kfar Aza. At the Tekuma site, we will see the remains of thousands of cars that were burned and damaged. We will hear about heroes who risked their lives in the face of the brutal enemy.

Independent lunch break in Netivot, the capital of the western Negev: G Complex, Paris Complex, the Old Market.

We will visit the lookout observers’ hill overlooking Kibbutz Nahal Oz and the Nahal Oz outpost. We will visit the Nova Festival site, near the Re’im parking area. We will remember the hundreds who were killed and injured in the disaster, as well as the hostages who are still in Gaza.

We will travel along Route 232. We will see the death shelters, memorial corners, and battle sites. Whenever possible, we will meet residents at the location and hear firsthand accounts of what happened on October 7.

The tour is suitable for all walking levels. An important and far from simple experience for understanding the reality in which we live.
