My Aunt from the Prophets’ Street — The Israeli Hour Theatre
Inspired by the writings and songs of Yehoram Taharlev
02/03/27
The three siblings—Jeremiah, Elijah, and little Deborah—arrive at their aunt’s home on the Prophets’ Street. They do not remember or know her at all; she is to look after them while their parents are away for a few days. The aunt lives alone in a somewhat strange house.
The three siblings are afraid of their aunt and even think she is very strange and might bewitch them. They do not want to stay at her house and decide to do everything they can to make their aunt call their parents and ask them to come pick them up immediately.
Little by little, the children discover that things are not as they seem, and the three are swept into their aunt’s magical world. In a special and imaginative way, she teaches them an important lesson about mutual respect, self-confidence, and the fact that the most important thing is to try—even if you do not succeed!
