Movement in the Open Outdoors

October 8, 9, 15, and 16, 9:00, 16:00

A four-session workshop led by Nir Ben Gal. We will experience free movement in the open air beneath the sky. We will dance with the earth, trees, and stones, and experience movement that is healing through the connection between the body, the earth, and our land. We will learn how our bodies respond to the open, natural environment, strengthen the connection between our inner nature and the nature around us, and learn from nature to move in harmony and without effort.

Nir Ben Gal is a choreographer, dancer, curator, and teacher, and one of the prominent figures in Israeli dance. For more than three decades, he has created dance works in Israel and around the world, and developed a unique approach combining movement, creativity, community, and connection to nature. Ben Gal is one of the founders of the Sderot Adama Movement Center, and dedicates his work to exploring the connection between the body, consciousness, and human presence.

No prior experience is necessary—only curiosity, openness, and a love of movement in a natural environment.
