Peter Grimes

Ellen volunteers to ride with the cart driver Hobson to bring the boy. When Bluster announces an approaching storm, everyone heads home or to the "Wild Boar" inn, but Bluster finds Grimes still working on his boat. Bluster suggests that Grimes start anew and marry Ellen, but Grimes rejects the proposal and shares with Bluster his plan to marry Ellen only after earning enough money and gaining the respect of the townspeople.
