A stand-up show by Ella Knevsky at Ozen Bar, 48 King George Street, Tel Aviv-Yafo. The show lasts a little over an hour and deals with being single, femininity, therapy, and family.
After 8 years on open stages, living the Tel Aviv single life, undergoing psychotherapy, and spending a lifetime as the daughter of a Russian family, Ella Kanavsky (the hilarious one from the videos—and the person writing this text now) has gathered material that has come together into a little over an hour-long stand-up comedy show!
The show offers a glimpse into Ella’s life, combining highbrow and lowbrow humor, complex and simple stories and characters—all with the lightness and naturalness that come naturally to her. And no, she is not related to Rabbi Kanievsky.
The show deals with late-in-life singlehood, femininity, aging, apps, therapy, divorced parents, polyamory, growing up in a Russian home with a grandmother who is Stalin, and more.
Please note: The show begins up to an hour after the doors open. Seating is unreserved, so it’s worth arriving early to get a good spot 😊
