Shibari • Lecture and Demonstration

🪢 October 12 at Roof_TLV – a new gathering in the “Shibari Laboratory” series by Mazai Art.

Over the past year, we have already talked about shibari several times, watched demonstrations, and discussed aesthetics, boundaries, contact, and what actually happens within this process. Now these gatherings are gradually developing into a separate research project – “Shibari Laboratory.”

✨ The theme of the second gathering is shibari and interaction.
What happens between two people during a shibari session? How is contact built without words? Who leads and who responds? How are breathing, bodily tension, movement, distance, and pauses perceived? And why can two outwardly similar sessions feel completely different?

We will talk not so much about knots and technique as about the process itself – attention, trust, control, bodily reactions, and the nonverbal dialogue between partners.

🪢 The program includes a discussion and two live shibari demonstrations followed by analysis.
The gathering is led by rigger Ded Mazai – creator of the “Shibari Laboratory” project, shibari practitioner, photographer, and lecturer.

🤍 No previous shibari experience is required.
🍷 Wine, tea, and refreshments.
