After his mother’s death at a ripe old age, Or Auslander, a literature teacher, discovers almost by chance that she was not Jewish. What initially appears to be a bureaucratic error soon becomes a fact that shakes the foundations of his family and his life. Is some closely guarded secret hidden in his mother’s past, or is this simply a mistake?
Or embarks on a wild journey that begins with a rabbinical official and culminates in a séance with his mother’s spirit, in an attempt to establish his true identity.
