This time: Dida, an Israeli guitarist and singer based in New York, offers a rare musical storytelling experience. Blending jazz standards, captivating blues, old-country vibes, and original material, her warm, direct, and precise voice instantly captivates, while her guitar playing combines a rounded sound, deep groove, and effortless emotion. French magazine Jazz Hot accurately described it as: "vocal performance devoid of pretense, full of meaning, charm, and presence." Her debut album, Dida Plays and Sings (Red Records), received international acclaim and was named one of the albums of the year by All About Jazz, featuring guests such as Roy Hargrove and Gregory Hutchinson. A summa cum laude graduate of The New School, Dida has performed at leading clubs and festivals in New York and around the world, and later released A Missing Shade Of Blue – a powerful, blues-infused instrumental album.
