Bubonology class for grades 1–6

My name is Neta, and I’m very excited to invite you to join my puppetry class.

The class is like an enchanted laboratory, where together we will explore the broad and magical world of puppet theater. Throughout the year, we will create a variety of special theater puppets from different materials and using different techniques.

But creation is only the beginning. After creating each puppet, we will learn how to operate it, perform with it, and bring it to life. At the end of the year, we will put on a small, festive show in which we will present the characters and puppets we created throughout the year.

Neta Sforan is a puppeteer, actress, director, and creator. She holds a bachelor’s degree in directing and theater education, a teaching certificate, and is a graduate of puppetry and puppet manipulation programs in various settings, including The Train Theater and the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center in the United States. She studied under Omri Bar-Lev. I believe in the power of the puppet as a tool for expression, listening, and imagination. For me, puppets are a place of comfort, play, and creation, and they have accompanied me ever since.
