A staged orchestral performance by the Revolution Orchestra, featuring songs from “Songs Together,” video art, and archival materials, at the Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv.
The Revolution Orchestra returns to where it all began—the program “Songs at Tzavta,” broadcast on the First Channel from the legendary Tzavta Club—in a Re:Play-format performance that shakes the dust off the collective memory.
Songs by cultural giants Shlomo Artzi, Shalom Hanoch, Hava Alberstein, Shoshana Damari, Ariel Zilber, Yehudit Ravitz, and others—all in their youth, as documented in the legendary program—return to the stage and screen for one evening. The original performances are combined with rich orchestral arrangements and original video art using archival materials.
Conductor: Roy Oppenheim
Featuring: Ilan Peled / Roy Bar-Natan
In the sixth performance in the Re:Play series, following the great success of the fifth performance, “You and I—Playing with Arik Einstein,” the Revolution Orchestra returns to the legendary program “Songs at Tzavta” and gathers its gems. This is a “living laboratory” performance that takes beloved cultural treasures and songs and gives them a new, relevant, and vigorous pulse.
For the first time, the Revolution Orchestra is also collaborating with creators Ilan Peled and Roy Bar-Natan, who will appear on stage alternately and star in a series of retro videos and “commercials” filmed especially for the performance as a television homage to the 1970s.
In collaboration with: Kan 11—the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation
Conductor: Roy Oppenheim
Composers and arrangers: Zohar Sharon and Amir Lekner
Artistic direction: Amir Lekner, Zohar Sharon, and Roy Oppenheim
Featuring: Ilan Peled / Roy Bar-Natan
Please note: The performance is a tribute to the program “Songs at Tzavta” and takes place at the Israeli Opera auditorium. The guest artists appear on a video screen as part of an interdisciplinary work combining archival materials with the orchestra’s live performance on stage.
