ICHINAWA – interaction between partners through a single rope 🪢
Practical workshop in Tel Aviv
📅 September 28 at 7:30 PM
Sometimes shibari doesn’t require complex patterns, suspensions, or technical structures.
Sometimes one rope, attention, and two people willing to listen to each other are enough. 🫶
In this workshop, we will explore the practice of ichinawa—working with a single rope as a way of creating contact, leading, and interacting as partners.
This is a beginner-level class. It is suitable for those who are just starting to explore shibari or want to try rope not as a “binding technique,” but as a language of communication.
🪢 During the class, we will explore:
We will not be learning complex suspension structures.
The focus of the class is floor-based rope practice, contact, trust, attention, and basic safety. 🤍
👥 Who it’s for:
Beginners, the curious, practicing couples, and anyone who wants to discover shibari through a gentle, embodied, and attentive practice.
No experience is required.
All that matters is respect for your partner, a willingness to listen, and observing boundaries. 🫶
🎒 What to bring:
Comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily.
If you have your own ropes, you can bring them. If not, we will provide them on-site.
✨ Ichinawa is not about tying someone beautifully.
It is about hearing another person through the rope.
