*DOYA*

DOYA is a Jerusalem-based project rooted in the contemporary neo-classical and ambient scene, created by pianist Didi Elinson and guitarist Itay Sher, who met while studying at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.Alongside original compositions, the duo explores the preservation and revival of melodies from Jewish musical traditions, approaching them with curiosity and a desire to reshape them through new colors, textures, and techniques.The melodies serve as an emotional point of departure — a space for prayer, listening, and inner connection — from which DOYA creates a minimalist, spacious, and resonant musical world.
