DAVID MICHAELI Quintet
Bassist David Michaeli presents the music of his debut album in a new quintet. The program features a synthesis of Middle Eastern, African, and jazz influences, structured into a personal musical language based on groove, melody, and freedom. This is the first live performance of the new material with an ensemble specifically created for this project.
After years of performing on stages in Israel and around the world with leading ensembles, David Michaeli presents the music from his debut album for the very first time. One of the most active and sought-after bassists in the local scene, and a member of the acclaimed trio SHALOSH, Michaeli brings together influences from the Middle East, Africa, and the world of jazz, shaping them into a personal musical language built on groove, melody, and freedom. This is the debut performance of the project, a first opportunity to hear the new material live with an ensemble assembled especially for it.
