The Wishing Kite in the Neighborhoods of North Yarkon
Community art activity to create a wish kite. September 22–28 at community centers in the neighborhoods north of the Yarkon River in Tel Aviv.
This year too, ahead of the Tel Aviv–Kfar Aza Kite Festival in memory of the Kutz family (September 30 on the lawns of South Tzuk Beach), we invite you to create “The Wishing Kite” together.
On a colorful strip of paper you will receive, write a word, draw a symbol, decorate it, or leave a short message—and attach it to one shared string, together with the wishes of your neighbors.
Each string created will be connected to strings from all the neighborhoods, and together we will create one large, colorful, moving kite.
The activity will take place at the following community centers:
- September 22, 11:30–14:30 — Lamed Community Country Club, 31 Burla Street (special activity for senior citizens)
- September 27, 16:00–18:30 — Beit HaShachmat Community Center, 26 Tagore Street (for families)
- September 28, 13:00–16:00 — Tzukei Aviv Community Center, 6 Shnitzer Street (for elementary-school-aged children)
Participation is free of charge. No registration is required—just come.
You will be able to see the completed kite in a spectacular display at the large Tel Aviv–Kfar Aza Kite Festival, which will take place on Wednesday, September 30, from 10:00 to 17:00, on the lawns of South Tzuk Beach, where you will also be able to add new wishes to it.
