In the workshop, we will give new life to old fabrics through embroidery, sewing, weaving, and more. This is a creative experience with wine and music, for a personal and sustainable renewal. There is an opportunity to refresh old textiles and repurpose them using a variety of techniques.
Clothes and textile products age and go out of use in various ways - tear, stain, wrong size, or simply because we are tired of them.
The desire to renew and the good feeling that buying a new item gives us is natural, but there is an even more successful option that also benefits nature: Refreshing (UPcycling).
In the "Textile Refresh" workshop, we will process and recreate beloved old fabrics that we have at home, full of potential.
Together we will mend, upgrade, repurpose, and give the textiles new life through experimenting with various techniques such as embroidery, hand sewing, machine sewing, weaving, hole repair, working with patches, and more.
The participants of the workshop will have access to a variety of tools available in City School Studio, such as a sewing machine, iron, embroidery threads, needles, and fabrics.
There will also be wine and good music.
