NonFinito 2024 // Artport's artists-in-residence group exhibition

Nonfinito 2024, the final exhibition of the artists in Artport's annual residency program, which began in October 2023 and is drawing to a close these days, presents new projects and ideas that have grown behind the doors of six studios on the two floors above the gallery.

Reality, the one that can no longer be escaped, is present and not present in everything that has been done in the last year, consciously or not. Is it really there, or is it just us, the viewers, who cannot help but find it everywhere. Faced with a present that seems like a bad dream from which we find it difficult to wake up, the works in the exhibition offer a moment of observation and a constant search for new possibilities.
Uri Zamir's props contain the ability to develop the plot, to control the course of the play and to change it; The materials in Moshe Roas' sculptures change their form and properties, but at the same time maintain a subtle tension and balance that unites them all; Tal Alperstein shifts the focus to the marginal characters of a computer game, which she places in reality; Assaf Alkalai removes search arrows from the computer screen and gives them physicality in the real world; In Ruthie de Vries's canvases, figures lean and support each other, testing their ability to separate and reintegrate into the group; Esther Schneider's healing forms grow and develop, striving to return to that original perfection to which we all aspire.
