– Where are you from?
– From Belarus.
– Ah, isn’t that where Pesniary are from?
(From a conversation)
When you hear the names Valery Daineko, Igor Penya, Oleg Averin, or Alexander Katikov, the first thing that comes to mind is Pesniary! No further explanation is needed, because they are now the true inheritors of the spirit of Pesniary.
These artists, who joined the ensemble under Vladimir Mulyavin, continue the unique vocal traditions of the legendary Belarusian VIA during its “golden” era.
From November 16 to 23, the “Belarusian Legends,” who formed the musical core of Mulyavin’s Pesniary, will tour Israel for the first time.
The ensemble’s concerts feature numerous hits from across the years, creating the renowned group’s “Golden Collection.” Their “crystal-clear” polyphony enchants audiences and elicits prolonged applause. Wherever the group performs, its concerts flow by in a single breath.
Legendary songs have a legendary past. Many compositions written nearly half a century ago immerse audiences in an atmosphere of joy and celebration through a unique combination of authentic motifs and modern sound, enhanced by the soloists’ rare vocal abilities.
The ensemble’s repertoire and traditions largely follow Vladimir Mulyavin’s legacy. Oleg Averin, Valery Daineko, and Alik Katikov—members of the ensemble and authors of numerous songs—use modern musical instruments to creatively create a unique rhythmic sound based on the musical foundation laid by Mulyavin in the 1970s.
Their signature Pesniary polyphony is especially complex, yet beautiful! New arrangements blend harmoniously with the classic songs cherished by Pesniary fans.
Pesniary will remain in our hearts!
