A New Melody – Spain
Synopsis: Two years after tragedy strikes, the residents of a quiet fishing village on Spain’s coast decide to revive the village’s traditional orchestra and enter the annual regional orchestra competition. With no alternative, and in the absence of the orchestra’s conductor, his 18-year-old daughter Andrea is chosen to lead the musicians. To everyone’s surprise, and despite a hesitant beginning, Andrea succeeds in rekindling the orchestra’s hopes through an extraordinary combination of traditional playing and modern rhythms—but just when it seems that the villagers are finally finding their rhythm, surprising revelations about the disaster threaten to tear them apart, this time for good.
