“Look at Me” – A play about social exclusion for students in grades 4–6
Written and directed by Elia Bar Teiram
A play about social exclusion, told from the perspective of the children who stood by and allowed it to happen.
Noam and Gaia, cousins and fifth-grade students, find a mysterious bag at the end of the school day. One object after another reveals to them the story of Aviv, a new student who disappeared from school after experiencing social exclusion.
As they try to figure out who the bag belongs to, they are forced to confront the question: “Is someone who stands by also part of the exclusion?”
A play about friendship, social fear, responsibility, and one child whom no one truly stopped to see and get to know.
