This is the story of a Jewish boy from Babruysk. Through childhood memories, viewers learn about the tragedy experienced by the protagonists in the middle of the last century. The author of the novella knows how to speak about serious subjects impartially and with a touch of irony. This witty narrative style has been translated into theatrical form.
The protagonists are puppets, while objects, sets, a carefully selected sequence of documentary footage, and, of course, the voice-over create the necessary atmosphere.
The creators of the performance attempt to answer this poignant question. The world lacks mercy, justice, and kindness—and also boys whom the war did not allow to grow up and change the world for the better.
