In a neighborhood of Italian immigrants near the port in Brooklyn, Eddie Carbone (Natan Detner) and his wife raise the wife’s niece.
Two cousins who entered America illegally arrive at the house. This is the story of a devoted and loving “father” who, in a desperate attempt to keep his “daughter” for himself, was willing to give up his family, self-respect, and life.
This is a story of terrible passion, betrayal, revenge, and primitive, natural justice confronting the judicial systems of an orderly society.
The play, considered Arthur Miller’s finest, is directed by Natan Detner.
