👠 Two Pairs of Shoes – a moving solo performance and lecture, part of Women’s Violence Prevention Month 🎭 in collaboration with Na'amat Marehav Netanya and the Mayor’s Advisor for Women’s Status.
Violence in a relationship does not always begin with screams or blows. Sometimes it starts quietly, through control, isolation, and gradually becomes a reality that is hard to recognize – and even harder to escape.
💜 “Two Pairs of Shoes” tells the story of Shira Dotan, a successful marketing vice‑president who wakes up one morning in a hospital after being brutally beaten. She fights with all her strength to break free from the cycle of violence and return to a life of freedom, but her partner, the treating physician, and the fears that accompany her repeatedly force her to confront painful, life‑changing choices.
✨ This is a powerful personal journey about a toxic relationship, the strength to choose life anew, and the long road back to hope, security, and love. The performance aims to raise awareness, encourage dialogue, and remind us that alongside difficulty there is always the possibility of change.
The evening combines a lecture with an emotionally charged solo performance addressing one of the most important and painful issues in Israeli society, inviting the audience to pause, listen, and shine a spotlight on a reality that must be spoken about.
