Route:
30 Departure from Netanya; independent morning break.
30 Tel Megiddo National Park—an important archaeological site in northern Israel, declared a World Heritage Site, featuring the remains of an ancient city from the Bronze and Iron Ages, including palaces, temples, and an impressive water system.
30 The “Valley Railway” (the legendary railway), Alro’i Station—the railway operated from the beginning of the 20th century. It traveled slowly between several stations among the communities scattered throughout the valley, including a small station in Alro’i that served as a meeting place for the residents of the community, who contended with rioters and the difficulties of daily life. The station served the residents of Alro’i, Kiryat Amal, and Sha’ar HaAmakim Kibbutz. Over the years, the railway ceased operating, the station fell into disrepair, and the railway tracks disappeared, while thorns and desolation covered the site. Local residents took it upon themselves to restore the site and decided to renew and reconstruct it.
15 Independent lunch break at Hutzot Alonim.
15 Ka’abiyye village—Galilee Madafa, Wipki. A madafa is a traditional Bedouin hospitality venue and visitor center specializing in Bedouin history and culture in the village of Ka’abiyye in the Galilee. We will delve into the world of Bedouin culture and local cuisine, participate in a traditional coffee-making ceremony, and enjoy many other experiences. As soon as you enter the home of Wipki and Inshrah Salmane, you will feel like honored guests.
00 Ein Iron—The Passion Fruit Man. This delicious liqueur is a delicate and refreshing dessert drink made from fresh passion fruit grown—for a good and sweet year. At the visitor center, Shai Fishbein, also known as the Passion Fruit Man, will be waiting for us. We will hear his life story, accompanied by great creativity and entrepreneurship, changes, and decision-making throughout his life.
