Nature Guardians: A New Adventure Club for Children

About the Activity

Nature is everything that surrounds us—the smell in the air after the rain, a rock that has not moved for millions of years, and birds that migrate to warm, distant lands.

We invite your children to discover this wonderful world that is right under our noses (or above them).

In our nature club, we will learn together that every small patch of land is an entire world—a playground and a life lesson at the same time.

What is the best way to do this? Through exploration, observation, experimentation, and personal experience—literally hands-on.

The meetings take place once a week on a fixed day.

Throughout the year, your children will become trackers, nature researchers, and artists; experience exciting adventures; and learn unique skills.

When and Where Does It Take Place?

The club takes place once a week, on Tuesdays from 16:00–17:30, at Hof HaCarmel Field School in Ma'agan Michael.

The activities will take place at the field school, and from there we will sometimes head to the nearby surroundings, including a eucalyptus grove, a carob grove, a bird park, the seashore, and a flowering kurkar hill—a wonderful variety of settings for adventures!

On Tuesday, 6/10/26, a free trial meeting will take place. Advance registration is required.

The club will include approximately 28 meetings per year, led by a permanent professional instructor!

What Will We Do in the Club?

🍃 Survival and Early Humans: We will learn about the fire circle—how to light a fire safely and responsibly; build shelters from branches and natural materials; and explore basic gathering methods to understand how much wisdom and cooperation are needed to live in nature.

🍃 Sharp Senses and the Language of the Forest: We will learn the language of birds—distinguishing between a calm chirp and an alarm call; practice camouflage and stealth techniques that develop concentration and inner calm; and set out on journeys following the signs and tracks of animals in the field.

🍃 Art from the Earth: We will create natural colors from leaves and peels, draw with charcoal from the campfire, and make “power animals” and tools from mud—a hands-on experience connecting simple creativity, natural materials, and imagination.

🍃 Environmental Responsibility: We will explore our surroundings, seasonal changes throughout the year, and the diversity of wildlife and plants, and learn how to protect the beach and the open space around us.

🍃 Birdwatching: We will hold birdwatching tours in the bird park, learn about kingfishers, gulls, herons, and coots, discuss bird migration, and make nesting boxes and bird feeders.

🍃 Seasonal Surprises: We will take focused tours to meet the narcissus, “King of the Marsh,” explore the story of the generous carob tree, and celebrate Tu BiShvat by planting trees and preparing gifts for nature.

This is your opportunity to give your children tools that will serve them throughout their lives: responsibility, curiosity, and a genuine connection to the world we live in.

Places are limited—secure your child’s place as soon as possible. The club’s operation is subject to a minimum number of registrants.

♥️ Please note: The monthly price for the club is only 275 NIS for guests (or 250 NIS for members), but payment is annual and made in a single installment.

The club will take place from October 2026 through June 2027.
