Underpants and Undershirts tells, for the first time, the story of the women on the home front during the Yom Kippur War and the emergency year that followed. Composed entirely of rare archival materials—from documentary footage to public service announcements—the film creates a rich and imaginative visual mosaic of a reality without men, during one of the most difficult periods Israel has known.
The screening will be followed by a conversation with the filmmaker, Smadar Zamir.
