Shepherd

My dream is to be a shepherd—but not of flocks, rather of people. I want them to follow me at my signal, without questions or unnecessary reflection, simply to line up and go wherever I point. And note that I am not talking about five or ten people, but thousands—preferably millions, ideally the entire world!

The play The Shepherd by Zero Theatre, based on Andrei Maksimov’s play of the same name, tells of a surreal encounter between Lenin and the Devil in the guise of a woman. This lady finds Vladimir Ilyich’s dossier among the unsold souls, turns back time, and comes to visit the Leader.

The play is an absurd invitation to reflection and promises to be an unforgettable theatrical experience for those who both hate and adore, despise and worship, this vivid figure in world history.
