Telemandolin — the third concert of the 38th season of the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra. Alon Sariel, an Israeli mandolinist, lutenist, and conductor specializing in early music, will conduct and perform as mandolin soloist.
At the heart of the program is the mandolin in dialogue with a Baroque orchestra. The music of Telemann, Hasse, and Bach reveals the different facets of the late German Baroque—from orchestral color to the lyricism and virtuosity of the solo instrument.
