Using temporary means like strings and poles, Jewish law allows turning a public area into a private domain, defining areas, domains, and communities, and separating urban sections. Besides community fencing, could an Eruv also present an opportunity for connection?
In another evening from the series 'The Streets Ascend Slowly', we will delve into the practice of the Eruv, examining its religious and political aspects, and attempt to explore it as a unique proposal for domesticating space, softening boundaries, and fostering neighborly relations.
