Seven slow, somber, and deeply emotional movements express in music the seven things Jesus said while on the cross. Haydn’s original arrangement of the orchestral work commissioned for the Lenten service at Cádiz Cathedral in Spain.
A unique work in both form and structure, unfolding a search for new expressions that convey a journey of suffering and purification through music alone.
