Gil and Linoy

The musical duo Gil Shapira and Linoy Akala began their collaboration in 2015 along the route between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Gil Shapira—a 28-year-old Jerusalem musician (Gidi Gov, Yoni Rechter, Dani Sanderson, and more); Linoy Akala—a 25-year-old musician (Kochav Nolad, Idan Raichel’s Project, and more). The two blended together from the very first note and felt the special connection between them; from that moment, their joint creative work began. The duo performs a broad repertoire of songs in English and Hebrew—songs by the finest artists in Israel and around the world—arranged for two guitars and two voices.
