The story behind the audiovisual documentation and broadcast of the Adolf Eichmann trial in Jerusalem. Producer Milton Fruchtenman and Director Leo Hurwitz were responsible for documenting the Eichmann trial, which foreign networks described as “The Trial of the Century.” The broadcast was presented in thirty-seven countries worldwide and became the first global television event of its kind. The film reveals the challenges behind the documentation, the dilemmas faced by decision-makers at the time, and even the threats to the lives of the director and producer.
