Barbara Strozzi — Virtuoso Singer
A concert dedicated to the famous 17th-century composer and singer and her Venetian milieu. Works by Strozzi, Monteverdi, Castello, and Marini.
The Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra’s 2026 Magic Festival returns for the fifth time. This year, under the title “Echo,” it invites audiences on a journey following women, works, and voices that had already received recognition, respect, and their rightful place in their own time—and whose influence has not disappeared, continuing to resonate as an echo through subsequent generations.
Over two days, audiences will meet women creators and performers, queens and patrons, muses and heroines whose actions and very presence influenced the music and culture of their time. From ancient myths to 20th-century jazz, from the salons of Vienna and Berlin to the contemporary stage, the festival invites us to listen to voices that have reached us across time and discover how they continue to live, change, and sound today.
